Who is Farm Scout?
Farm Scout is an app that helps people shop locally for seasonal produce. Farm Scout updates information monthly on what fruits and vegetables are in season. The app also allows users to find local farmer's markets and stands according to the user's location. Farm Scout was created with the intention of limiting food waste and promoting sustainable practices among the food consumption and agricultural industry. How it works:
1. Users download Farm Scout app and search for local farms, stands, and markets by allowing app to use their current location
2. Farm Scout generates nearby produce with directions, information, reviews and ratings on individual businesses and stands
3. Farm Scout also offers tab with information on what produce is in season with relation to month and geographic area
